The Let’s Remember Adam STOP FOR THE SCHOOL BUS committee would like to announce that on Tuesday September 8 2015 we have officially re-launched the updated version of our website. Adam would have been 20 years old now (21 as of January 12 2016) and probably working on his college or university degrees had it not been for some one failing to stop for the flashing red lights of the school bus. With the re-launch of the website we have also added a new Facebook page as well as Instagram and Twitter accounts. Below is the original message when the website was first launched back in 2009.

The “Lets Remember Adam – Stop for the School Bus” committee would like to announce that on Monday 19 October 2009 we have officially launched the “LETS REMEMBER ADAM – STOP for the SCHOOL BUS“ website.

This is the start of School Bus safety week for 2009 and it is only fitting that we kick off the week with a poignant reminder to motorists of the perils of failing to stop for a school bus. School buses hold our future, our children, and that is why it is extremely important to stop for a school bus with its flashing red lights.

Adam would have been starting high school had it not been for some one failing to stop for the flashing red lights of the school bus. The Lets Remember Adam Committee started out in 2005 with a series of billboards, 8 in total, sponsored by civic minded businesses in and around North Bay. Today we have grown to over 30 billboards spread across the north eastern part of Ontario. In conjunction with that there are bumpers tickers and window decals that have been distributed far and wide to spread the message that you must stop for the flashing red lights of a school bus.

Now 4 years later we have officially launched the “Lets Remember Adam – Stop for the School Bus” website. We will continue to add to this website important educational information as well as stories and news articles relating to school bus safety. There is a link to the legislation in the Highway Traffic Act, as well as a link to the statistics of the staggering number of incidents of people failing to stop for the red flashing lights of the school bus.

Remember, school buses hold our most valuable resource, our children. You must stop for the red flashing light of a school bus.
